It is Sept 30 and the division three season is now winding down. There is still a number of preliminary games to be played before the play-offs begin. If the weather and the availability of the officials allow we will see a very competitive 2008 division 3 play-offs. It is true that this has been a very long season but this has been caused by a number of factors. The main one being the failure of the BABA over the years to implement the rule of clubs sending someone to be trained as a referee. The result of this is that the teams have increase and not the number of referees who can adequately administer the games that is required to be played. I also think that Mr Garrett has done a remarkable job to get the season this stage.
It has been predicted that the winner will come from the very competitive south zone. Looking at the make up of the teams in that zone it would be very hard to think otherwise. The north teams consist mainly of teams containing youth players but I think that there will be a few surprises
I hope that the teams, Officials and the weather will cooperate with Mr Garrett as much as possible to bring this 2008 bball season to a speedy conclusion.

Well we had a good season. We lost the final two games which would have given us a possible chance of making the play-offs. We are all disappointed but came away from the experience aware of where our short comings are, more together as a team and are happy to have made new friends with the guest players from The Cougars team.
I am very proud of the work that was done after a very late start to their preparation. The stronger players really encouraged the weaker ones. I am also very satisfied with the standard of behavior exhibited by the team. They were no issues on the court or off the court the court. They never focus their attention on the officials or was there any disrespect shown by the players towards their opponents or their coaches. They lost some close games and they were disappointed but they were gracious in defeat. I am also happy to see the over all development of all the players. They have all shown improvement.
Where do we go from here? This will be discussed when the executive receives a report from the Coach. In the mean time there is the player awards to be selected. This year should be very interesting as statistics will be used for the first time.
Thanks U21’s i have enjoyed coaching you.For the first time in a long time i can say that I had fun. A lot of fun. You have rekindled the bball flame in me. Thanks for your support and your confidence in me. The Club has a bright future. YOU ARE THE FUTURE.

Arawak Braves have a chance of making the BLP U21 competition if they win their final two games. The team has surprised many teams by their strong team play. They have been losing their games in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter. They are at present tied with the City ballers,The warriors and the Station Hill team with two wins each. These four teams are fighting for the last play-off spot. Clapham Bulls the only unbeaten team has the number one spot with the Lakers second and the Senators Third. Whatever happens let me say that the team have played some wonderfull team basketball and i hope that they do not let this opportunity pass. WELL DONE TEAM.
