ARAWAK BRAVES OFF TO GOOD START. BUT STATS SAYS NO WAY.
Posted by coachmarius on July 5, 2008
The 2008 season has began and Arawak braves are off and running. After three games they have a two win one loss record. The players are still trying to settle down but they were competitive in all the games. It should be said that they could have and should have won the game which they lost.
The highlight of the games so far is the defence. It is a work in progress but it is very good. Still some work to be done. The troublesome areas have been identified and will be worked on at our practice sessions.
The offence is a problem area as you will see when the shooting stats of the games up to this point are revealed.
Here we go. You read and let me know what you think at our next practice.
Shooting…………Field Goals….201 shots taken in three games. scored 62.
Free Throws….53 shots taken. scored 22.
3 point shots..21…shots taken. scored 8.
Turnovers are not recorded in our team stats or personal stats at this point Corey is trying to get that sorted out. But i will show the teams turnover breakdown for the three games. Game 1….21. Game 2….15. Game 3….26. This amounts to 20.6 per game. We need to keep below this total.
Lets step up to the plate team, we have to pile on the pressure in our other games. We have to win the next three games. We have to defeat some of big teams in our zone.
Remember that you can see all the stats. Just go to basketball page and
click on “more on bball team”. Look on the left side for stats. Then
click “stats”. click “select report”.
select box score to see the quarter by quarter scores of the team game by game. or
select “results” to see the win/loss record of the Arawak braves team.
tick the box mark “game”.
Then click the area marked “Show report”
Sometime during the season i will have a one on one discussion with each player about their stats.
